The Gathering Pastor
Rev. Sharon Smith is the founding and current pastor of the Gathering. Previously, she served as associate pastor of the First Christian Church, Baltimore and also director of development and education for University Church, also in Baltimore.
Prior to receiving her MA in theology from the Ecumenical Institute at St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore in 2000. Rev. Smith was a human resources executive with Black and Decker for many years where her accomplishments included designing and implementing the corporation’s first diversity awareness training program.
Additionally, Rev. Smith is active in a variety of Baltimore area faith and civic organizations and activities, most notably are the Greater Homewood Community Corporation, Greater Homewood Interfaith Alliance, Roland Park Clergy Team, and the UMBC Undergraduate Resource Board. |

Clinton Adams, Music Director
Clinton Adams, Music Director for the Gathering, is a full time faculty member at Peabody Conservatory of Music and also Music Director and Organist at Govans Presbyterian Church. He performs with the Concert Artists of Baltimore and is well known as an accompanist and concert pianist. His career has brought him around the world six times. |
Rosemarie Critcher
Rosemarie, a soprano, holds vocal performance degrees from Towson University and Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. She has performed as soloist for Concert Artists of Baltimore, Loyola College DaCamera Singers, Baltimore Symphony Summer Series at Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Baltimore Masterworks Chorale, and Classical Interludes. She is a cantor and soloist at Baltimore-metropolitan area churches, and teaches private voice lessons and conducts vocal workshops for cantors and church choirs. |
Randal Woodfield
Randal Woodfield, has been a professional soloist at several Baltimore area churches and synagogues and currently sings at Faith Presbyterian Church where he is also an Elder. He has been deeply involved in church music since his childhood. He teaches voice and directs the opera workshop at York College of Pennsylvania and lectures throughout the Mid-Atlantic region on topics related to vocal music. |
